This week's Brunch 7 has some new comedy mystery and ... a lecture. Yes Matt starts us off with a lecture. "The Mark Steel Lectures," was a BBC radio 4 program in which Mark Steel, British comedian and columnist picked a famous Englishman in history to talk about. This week Matt will play Mark Steel’s premier on Oliver Cromwell from September 9 1999. After we've had some fun with history we move on to episode 6 from "Inspector west AT Home," and "Clue From A Captive." Is the Whistler going to talk from behind bars? Fred then takes over with an episode of “The Clitheroe Kid.” Jimmy Clitheroe was born in 1921 and never developed beyond age 11. He went on to become a star of Variety, films, radio and television. His career spanned five decades. In 1957, his biggest hit came a long, “The Clitheroe Kid” which ran for 15 years. We shall hear the episode titled "I've Got Them Taped" from 02/19/1962. Then we will continue our journey down “Bing Crosby Trail,” with the episode from Nov 9, 2007, where we will learn more about Bing's life.

Join us, won’t you?
