On any given Saturday in the UK thousands of wireless sets can be tuned to football or soccer as we call it. Radio 5 is the big football station in fact. One of the main clubs or teams in England is Manchester United. In today's fast paced world footballers are like baseball or football stars here making millions of pounds yearly for the simple effort of moving a ball down the field toward the net. Manchester United is the world's leading club next to AC Milan calling players like David Beckham proudly in its ranks. Fifty years ago in February 1958 after Manchester United had played Red Star Belgrade in Yugoslavia. The ‘58 Reds were led by Sir Matt Buzby and were known as the Buzby babes partially because they were younger than 25. One of them was a burly Northern Irishman named Harry Gregg. When the plane left Belgrade it made a quick stop in Munich and crashed on the runway 23 people die including eight Manchester United players. This is Harry Gregg's story told from BBC Radio Ulster from February 6 2008. We then turn to Inspector West from April 14 of 1968. It's all winding up now and we'll be anxious to see how "Inspector West At Home," ends with episode 7 "A Date With Justice."

We then turn to Fred and that old Bailey Hack, Rumpole of the Bailey, written by John Mortimer. Horace Rumpole was a barrister very near retirement age and actively pursued murder cases and followed them through to the end. Today we will hear Rumpole and the Confession of Guilt from July 21, 1980 in which Rumpole receives a few home truths courtesy of his son. This episode stars Maurice Denham as Rumpole and Margot Boyd as Hilda (she who must be obeyed). Then we will continue with part three of our journey along the Bing Crosby Trail with Michael Freedland as he continues his journey on the trail of Bing Crosby, which leads from his birthplace in Washington, to St Paul's Church in LA, where the music legend is buried.
