Brunch with the Brits by Matt Cox and Fred Bertelsen

On this edition of Brunch with the Brits, Matthew will start off with the Inimitable Jeeves, episode 1 from June 5, 1965, titled "Jeeves Exerts The Old Cerebellum." In this episode Bingo Little woos Mabel, the waitress, and enlists Jeeves' help to talk round his wealthy uncle, Mortimer Little. Starring Michael Hordern and Richard Briers. (30 min)

Then, if Matt has returned, he will play an episode of Inspector West from the series Battle for Inspector West episode 1 titled "Honeymoon Spells Nightmare" from May 4, 1967. If Matt is not back from his bereavement, Fred will substitute episode 1 of Inspector West At Home titled "The Voice of Doom" from March 28, 1968. (30 min)
In Fred's segment, we will first hear an episode of Christopher Marlowe Mysteries titled "The Curious Case of the Cursed Quayside" from December 9, 1993, in which Elizabethan playwright Kit Marlowe gains a new job, hires a servant - and inherits a mystery. Marlowe meets Dr Frobisher on a crowded coach and is recruited as a spy. (30 min)
Finally we will hear an episode of Crème de la Crime from April 2, 2003 titled "The Quiller Killer." Michael Feydeau, TVs much-loved Inspector Niblett, and David Pershore investigate the controversial theory put forward by American bestselling author, Leatitia Wheatwell, about who really killed Christopher Marlowe, the second greatest Elizabethan Playwright. In her book, Ruff Justice, she enters the sordid world of 16th century London and comes up with a solution that has shocked many, not least Feydeau who thinks she's an idiot. Dave Pershore reckons she's got more money than sense. (15 min)
