This week we will begin with a short subject, continue a serial and enjoy a documentary during our weekly brunch. Matt starts us off with "Why Bother," a British satire from Radio 3 with Peter Cook playing Sir Arthur Streeb-Greebling discussing his take on life. It sounds simple but, as we've discovered with British humor, it's never as simple as it looks. We then continue with Inspector West At Home and episode four "A Call from the Whistler" from Radio 2 - April 4, 1968.

Fred then gives us the second episode of Daunt And Dervish, the post-war lady detectives, from Nov 18, 2003, in which the duo rescue a woman from drowning - but she is not what she seems. Imelda Staunton and Anna Massey star. Then we'll conclude by going "Down The Mean Streets" with Professor Jeffrey Richards as he looks at Raymond Chandler and his hardboiled detective Philip Marlowe from March 7, 2000.
