Thursday Night – Old Time Radio
On Thursday, July 14, Maxwell Crawford has selected the following shows for Radio out of the Past chatroom: Richard Diamond and the Blue Serge Suit, and Box 13 with Alan Ladd in Death is no joke. I thought the shows were very interesting, and have been rarely heard. I think everyone will really enjoy them.

Radio Out Of The Past salutes two well remembered radio shows.
the first is the Adventures of Nero Wolfe with a show entitle Room 304 from April 27 1951.
The second program is the Whistler. But not from Holywood. The Whistler like Escape and other programs sometimes did a series produced in other cities with local stars.
In this case we’ll hear what the Whistler sounded like in Chicago in a show called Blind Impulse from December of 1946 with a well known Chicago radio cast.

Paul Frees was one of the busiest and one of the most prolific voice actors we had during the course of radio, television, movies, and cartoons.
His talent as a voice impersonator was legendary. It kept him working for over 40 years.
On Thursday evening, we will explore his work in radio. He will talk about shows he appeared on as well as those who worked with him.
