Old-TimeRadio With Presenter: Larry Gassman 04/08/2021

Long before Alan Reed was known on Television for his role as Fred Flintstone in the 1960’s, he had a great radio career both in New York and later in Hollywood.

On Thursday evening we will look at his career through an interview plus hear him in a terrific radio show

Old-Time Radio With Presenter: Rick Spurgeon 03/25/2021

This time we look back at a comedian whose name may not automatically be atop your list. He starred in movies in the ’30s, blossomed in OTR and continued into television. He never had his own series but was a regular on a couple of good shows. There was even a short stint with Orson Welles. So join us as we sample both sides of a versatile performer who didn’t live long enough to collect old age security

hi everybody this is Maxwell welcomeing you to an hour and 10 minutes, which is 70 minutes worth of exciting shows. these three programs come from the x minus one science fiction series. The first story deals with an old man who is beat up by a hoodlum, the tables are turned on the rescuer! Second, this story deals with an observatory and a planet in space being bombarded by fireworks. too much celebration is ruining the scientists hard work, what is the scientists supposed to turn to, maybe the stars and a little bit of superstition? Find out what happens. Third story, deals with a race of people that live on a planet whose characteristic is to imitate the way human beings look and act, so far so much as you could not even tell them apart. what’s the solution to that problem find out what happens in all three of these stories. Also I hope you have a fabadabulous week ahead and enjoy yourself

Old-Time Radio for Thursday February 4, 2021 With Presenter: Matt Cox

This week on Cruising The Classics we begin exploring a new author’s work. The New author is Joseph Conrad and we’ll be beginning with Lord Jim, which was first published in serial form in 1899 and published as a novel in 1900. There are three themes I find unique in Conrad’s work. The theme of nature as powerful as an actual person also the theme of the superior colonial and the theme of the loner who is driven onward in his or her quest for eternal solace. I hope you’ll join me for this powerful and moving work. We’ll be listening to NBC University Theater from October 3 1948. Matt Cox
